Scheduled Events and Projects

CLASSROOM and DEMONSTRATIONS - In addition to commercial exhibitors showing and demonstrating their products and answering your questions, we will also have a separate room dedicated to classes.  There will be three scheduled classes each day if there is enough demand.  A listing of dates and topics are on this page so that you can plan those you want to attend.  -  Click Here to go to the Classroom and Demonstration Schedule Page - Updated 4/30/06

MACHINE SHOP - The Cardinal Engineering machine shop will also be available for those who want to work on their own projects, but this will be mostly in the evening because of all the activities scheduled during the day.

EMC - The MAZAK project with the EMC guys will proceed further this year.  The machine is up and running at 300 inches per minute and the tool changer has been cycled.  Ray Henry says that they will be making chips this time.  The annual EMC meeting will also be held during the CNC-Workshop, according to information from Ray.  -  Click Here to go to the EMC Schedule Page - Newest Info on the EMC retrofit projects

BENCHTOP MILL - There will be a Benchtop Milling Machine in the classroom set up for any of the commercial exhibitors to use to demonstrate their systems.  This will allow them to come and not have to bring along heavy machinery.  We are taking registrations for commercial exhibitors and as they commit to using the Benchtop Mill we will list them in the Classroom Schedule on this page.

FOOD - Coffee, soda, bottled water and donuts will be available from the Cardinal "kitchen?"  The response to the Thrushwood Farms lunches was very good and we will have them make up lunches for us again this year.  Orders will phoned in each morning and delivered by noon each day.  Thrushwood will also provide food for the Friday Cookout again.  A new page has been added with Menus and Prices on the Lunches and Friday Cookout - Click Here to go to the Food Page -

RAFFLE - The Raffle will also be held during the Friday Cookout and there will be a separate page to list donors and donations.  Be sure to patronize our donors and thank them for their generosity.  The Raffle items are still being donated and the page will appear here in the next couple of weeks
